Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Unit’s mission is to enforce the Village Code in an equitable manner ensuring the overall quality of life is maintained at a high level throughout Bal Harbour Village.

Code Enforcement Officers consistently check all areas of the Village to maintain a high level of appearance, health and safety within our community. Our Code Officers routinely work in conjunction with the Building Department and Parks and Public Spaces Department to work in a collaborative manner addressing any zoning, building or appearance code violations which may occur. The Code Enforcement Unit works with residents and business owners alike to seek voluntary compliance when a violation is being addressed prior to issuing a civil violation. Code Officers respond to all request from citizens regarding information or investigations related to violations of the Village Code. Currently, the Bal Harbour Police Department employs two (2) full-time Code Officers providing coverage 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, all code violations or concerns should be reported immediately to the Police Department’s non-emergency number at 305.866.5000 or online via the link provided below. All requests and concerns will be promptly documented and addressed in a professional manner.
