Important Water Service Notice

BAL HARBOUR (March 20, 2026) – Beginning Sunday, March 22, the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department will begin work to connect a new 54-inch water main along Red Road/West 4 Avenue between West 49 Street and West 53 Terrace in Hialeah. This project could also affect the Bal Harbour community.

This essential infrastructure project is expected to last about four weeks, with work taking place 24 hours a day.

What residents should know:

  • Water will not be shut off
  • Some areas may experience temporary low water pressure, especially during peak morning and evening hours
  • Residents may also notice cloudy water at first due to pressure changes; this is temporary and does not affect water quality
  • If water appears cloudy, run the faucet for 3 to 5 minutes until it clears

For high-rise buildings:
Building maintenance staff may need to check and adjust booster pump systems to help maintain water service to higher floors.
