Bal Harbour Waterfront Park

Welcome to the
Bal Harbour Waterfront Park

About the Park

This enclave features an open lawn area for passive activities, strolling paths, meditative spaces, progressive exercise zones, and a “Mother Earth, Cycle of Life”-themed playground designed by award-winning Danish firm, Monstrum. The 1.5 acre property also includes a community center with a terrace garden, a splash pad, and additional Raymond Jungles-designed landscaping with a forest-style canopy that leads visitors into the new community center.

The intimate, three-story jewel has a mirrored-glass design which reflects the park from the outside and brings nature inside. This 15,000 square foot facility houses multi-purpose event spaces, an indoor toddler playground, as well as the administrative offices for the Recreation, Arts & Culture department. A third-floor landscaped and covered roof deck will have magnificent water and city views and can be multifunctional for use as a party and pre-function space or for relaxation.

Access the Experience

Have you heard? The Village is launching an All Access Card for Bal Harbour residents. The All Access Card is your convenient and complimentary way to enjoy all the amenities and perks of being a Bal Harbour resident. The card is embedded with a chip to provide residents with access to the new Waterfront Park during regular operating hours. The card will also be your access pass to our Unscripted Art Access program, events, discounted and priority access to recreational programs, and exclusive resident-only offers.

Be one of the first people to experience all that the Bal Harbour Waterfront Park has to offer by registering for your All Access Card. There is no cost to receive your card and cards are valid for two years. Conveniently apply online at balharbourfl.gov/AllAccessCard. Once you have created your online account with CivicRec, you will add the All Access Card Request membership to your cart and checkout. To finalize the process, you will need to submit a copy of proof of residency and photo ID either in person or via email to [email protected]. Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you will need to take a photo in person at the Bal Harbour Waterfront Park and your cards will be printed.

Additional details are available online at balharbourfl.gov/AllAccessCard.

Recreation Programs

This past fall season, we launched our Discover Recreation program preview. The program series offered a sampling of complimentary programming for all ages, including a Beach Soccer Clinic for youth, a Teen Game Night, and Tai Chi for Adults and Seniors. The program preview allowed residents to experience some of the programs that will be available in the coming months at the new Bal Harbour Waterfront Park. Through the series, the Recreation, Arts, & Culture Department was able to gather additional feedback on program offerings, instructors, and schedules. Discover Recreation programs will continue after the new year to allow all residents an opportunity to experience what is to come.

The complete program lineup will be available online through our online registration system, balharbourfl.gov/recreation, hosted by CivicRec. Residents will need to create an account with CivicRec, which will be verified by staff for residency requirements. Once you have created your account, you can add any members of your household to your account. For any questions on how to create your CivicRec account, call 305.993.7484.

Share Your Vision

The Recreation, Arts, and Culture Department is sharing a recreation survey to gain additional insight into what programs and schedules our residents are most interested in. The intention is to stay current with the needs and interests of our community. If you took the Recreation Needs Assessment Survey last year, you will find that the survey has been refined to provide a focus on recreation programming for the new Waterfront Park.

Share your feedback online by visiting https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QD3B8P3.

With your feedback, the Village will continue to evaluate our program offerings each season and make adjustments to best suit our community’s evolving needs.
