About the Bal Harbour Police Legacy Foundation

The Bal Harbour Police Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was established in 2018 in memory of late Chiefs Mark N. Overton and Miguel “Mike” De La Rosa. Both leaders dedicated their lives to strengthening police–community relations and making a lasting impact on children and families throughout Miami-Dade County.

The Foundation supports families in need, promotes positive engagement with law enforcement, and organizes annual community initiatives such as a Back-to-School Drive, Holiday Toy Drive, and Thanksgiving Food Drive. Their Community Heroes Fundraiser further helps expand their outreach and impact.
