Make a meaningful impact on our environment by joining Bal Harbour’s Beach Cleanup in partnership with volunteercleanup.org in celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Day. We are counting on our local community to assist in the global movement to preserve our natural environment.
By participating, you will be part of a worldwide effort to reduce marine debris, protect wildlife, and preserve the beauty of our coastlines. Every piece of litter collected helps keep our oceans healthier and safer for future generations.
Registration on VolunteerCleanup.org is required to participate.
Community service hours are available for high school students participating in the beach cleanup. Please check in at the Bal Harbour information booth for credit.
Volunteers will meet beachside by the jetty at the north end of Bal Harbour Village (102 Street & Collins Avenue) and will work south along the beach.
Gloves, garbage bags, and water stations will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring closed-toed Shoes, water in a reusable bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, and sunglasses.
