Join us for a special Unscripted Art Tour at the Lowe Art Museum. This guided experience will feature two exhibitions highlighting the richness and complexity of Cuban and Afro-Cuban art and culture.

Exhibitions include:

El Pasado Mío / My Own Past
This landmark exhibition celebrates the work of forty-three Afro-Cuban artists active from the 1820s to the present. While several featured artists have achieved global recognition, many others are still awaiting wider acknowledgment. The exhibition is inspired by an influential 1988 presentation and offers a powerful look at artistic legacy and cultural identity.

Afrocubanismo: Highlights from the Ramón and Nercys Cernuda Collection
Guest curated by Alejandro de la Fuente, this exhibition draws from the Ramón and Nercys Cernuda Collection to present key Afrocubanista works, including pieces by Wifredo Lam. The exhibition explores the social and cultural forces that shaped twentieth-century Cuban art.

Transportation will depart from the Bal Harbour Waterfront Park at 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival at the museum, guests will enjoy a light reception, followed by the tour starting at 1 p.m. we anticipate leaving the museum at 3 p.m. with a return to the park at 4 p.m.

The tour is open to Bal Harbour residents and hotel guests. Cost is $5 per person.
