96 Street Traffic Impacts due to the Bay Harbor Islands Annual Arts Festival on 96 Street
Please be advised of increased traffic and roadway detours this weekend because of the Bay Harbor Islands Annual Arts Festival. The festival will be on the south side of 96 Street between the 1000 and 1100 blocks of Kane Concourse. A section of Bay Harbor Terrace will also be closed during the event.
When: Lane closures are expected to begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 2 and run through 11 p.m. on Sunday, February 4.
Motorists traveling through the area should allow for extra time to arrive to their destination. A detour will be established to guide drivers around the event.
Drivers traveling west on 96 Street will not be rerouted and should experience minimal impacts.
Drivers traveling east on 96 Street will be detoured as follows:
- Turn south on West Bay Harbor Drive
- Turn east on 93 Street
- Turn north on East Bay Harbor Drive
- Continue east on 96 Street
Drivers picking up students from Ruth K. Broad K-8 should follow the recommended traffic patterns below (in green). This is only applicable for Friday, February 2.
