Despite the Village providing detailed feedback, a comprehensive list of needed documentation, three rounds of reviews, and an in-person meeting, the Whitman application for an additional expansion of the Bal Harbour Shops under the Live Local Act continues to be deficient. The Village cannot begin a technical review of their proposal until their application is complete. Absent of a complete application and a full technical review, the Village is unable to provide additional details as to what, exactly, the Whitman family wants to build, how it might impact the community, and whether it meets the requirements of the Live Local Act or our local ordinances.
