There are two options for obtaining a copy of a crash report:
- Request a complimentary copy in-person at the Bal Harbour Police Station located in the Bal Harbour Shops at 9700 Collins Avenue, Suite 280, Bal Harbour, FL 33154. In-person requests may be made Monday – Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Order and download a copy online at https://policereports.lexisnexis.com for $16.00.
Important note regarding the release of traffic crash reports: Per Florida Statute 316.066, persons requesting to obtain a crash report within sixty (60) days after the date the record was filed, “must present a valid driver’s license or other photographic identification, proof of status or identification that demonstrates his/her qualifications to access that information, and file a written sworn statement.”
